Probably this is the first time of writing in this blog...
sorry to be late and I also know almost no one will see this blog at the moment.
But I want to make my blog very interesting even if my mother tongue is not English.
I try to habit of writing a blog constantly.
Recently I'm reading Walt Whitman's "LEAVES OF GRASS".
I think it might be very interesting and great poem but for me it is difficult to understand.
Because I'm just beginner as poem reader.
So I want to know some book which is good and easy for the person who have never read a poem before.
If you have any suggestion, then kindly give me some comments.
I don't care whether British or American or another countries'.
This is it.
Thank you for the reading.
see you then :)
Yuta!!!
ReplyDeleteHello!! ^^ This is Lisa! Your English has improved sooo much!! It is amazing!!! :D
I also love poetry, but sometimes poetry can be very difficult to read. I think because poetry is the most creative type of writing, so the authors are very free to say whatever they want to say, however they want to say it.
One of my favorite poets is e.e. cummings. His poetry is written in a very strange way, but it is kinda cool!! :P I don't know if I really understand what he is trying to say, but I like reading it and trying to figure it out. It is like a puzzle!! :D
If you want to read some of his poems, here is a website:
http://www.americanpoems.com/poets/eecummings
Also, I don't know if you are interested in children's poetry, but there is another poet called Shel Silverstein and he writes children's poetry. Even though I am not a child anymore, I still love his writing. Here is a website with a few of his poems: http://famouspoetsandpoems.com/poets/shel_silverstein/poems
Shel Silverstein's books have great illustrations also, so if you have a chance and you are interested, I recommend you look at his books as well! :)
Anyways, sorry this was a long comment!! ^^
Take care Yuta!!!
