as a English as Second Language

Good evening everyone...

I have started new class at British Council. It is Saturday and Sunday at 1pm to 4pm!! It will probably be tough work but the classes are very nice. The class teacher is Indian but she is sincere professional English teacher I think. She is taking care for student's opinion. There was one student from Nepal. Exclude her and me, all of them are Indian and perhaps almost everyone is working person. There were only a few students.

Unfortunately my class is not advanced so far... My English skill is middle level still but there is no choice. I just try to have higher skill and train myself harder and harder. Someday I want to use English like mother tongue and have a communication with foreign person. Personally I think this is mission for us. In this century, English is important TOOL of communication. As you may know this is tool so way to use the tool is very important. I have been studying in Soka Education. I want to expand this wonderful philosophy to others. I want to talk about possibility of one person. "A great human revolution in the life of a single individual can change the destiny of an entire nation, and also the destiny of all humankind."

Anyway! I have to break through the middle level to touch the higher level! I will not give in to be English professional! I want to be the student who can work in English Forum. I'll keep on studying, anyway.

thank you, that's all.
Cheers!!

English for What?

Hello everyone!
Today, I talked with my friend who is studying in San Diego, California.
We discuss the accent of English.
The issue was how should Japanese people speak English?
In Japan, especially youth people tend to be speaking like American or British people.
However, nowadays, English is spoken all over the world.
There is Singlish, Indian accent, and many countries own their accent.
Even some Indian people try to get American or British accent.
Because It's easy to make others understand his/her English probably.

Then I'm confusing which accent I should follow.
At the moment, Japanese accent is not so famous, personally I think because it is general thing to get native speakers accent.
On the other hand, some famous person like Yukio Mishima speak with Japanese accent.
I think elder citizens tend to use heavy Japanese English.

In my opinion, to speak Japanese English (is so-called Janglish) is good thing.
Because that is one of national character.
I know there are some problem to communicate with other countries people but we all countries have each tongue and English is important to connect the world.
I mean, if there is not English how can we talk each other nowadays.
And the most important thing is not accent but what we talk.

But I know Japanese English is not easy to get understanding for foreigners.
That's the problem.... :(
I need more time to think about that.
What do you think about this thing??
Give me your idea. :)

cheers!

Hello everyone.
Probably this is the first time of writing in this blog...
sorry to be late and I also know almost no one will see this blog at the moment.
But I want to make my blog very interesting even if my mother tongue is not English.
I try to habit of writing a blog constantly.

Recently I'm reading Walt Whitman's "LEAVES OF GRASS".
I think it might be very interesting and great poem but for me it is difficult to understand.
Because I'm just beginner as poem reader.
So I want to know some book which is good and easy for the person who have never read a poem before.
If you have any suggestion, then kindly give me some comments.
I don't care whether British or American or another countries'.

This is it.
Thank you for the reading.
